Since 2026, the winter clothing rental service from Tuque & bicycle expériences has been renamed Tuque & Mitaines and is now a division of HQ Services Touristiques (hqst.ca).

Where did the idea come from?

When Émilie, the founder, launched her first winter tourism company Tuque & bicycle expériences in 2020, she quickly realized there was a real need for a winter clothing rental service. She started small, mainly serving guests from Château Frontenac, then began delivering to Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, and now Charlevoix. Next destination? You tell us!

Pioneers in Quebec?

We were the first to offer winter clothing rental to the general public among existing companies, since 2021.

Even today, we stand out by offering much more than just a rental service: genuine personalized assistance, exceptional customer service, and thoughtful attention behind every item in your bag.

When booking, provide us with your sizes (weight, height, usual clothing sizes, and shoe size) and your travel details.

Don’t wait too long to book

If you’re missing some details, you can still book and modify your reservation later. It’s better to book sooner than too late.

At delivery or pickup of your winter clothing, please allow approximately 30 minutes for fitting. On-site or at delivery, we always have one size smaller and one size larger in case the chosen size doesn’t fit well.

Delivery and fitting are available at:

• Your accommodation (hotel or private address) (Vieux-Québec, Montreal, Mont-Tremblant, or Charlevoix)
• Our Quebec City office at 112 rue Saint-Paul in the Vieux-Port de Québec by appointment.
• Locapaq shop in Montreal (1360 Bd Rosemont)

Now, enjoy all the winter activities waiting for you in Quebec, such as:

• Urban walking tour and sightseeing
• Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing
• Light hiking
• Ice fishing
• Skiing and snowboarding
• Short snowmobile and dog sledding activities (otherwise the center usually has more specialized equipment available for rental or loan)

Please note that our clothing can be very warm for more athletic activities and not warm enough for experiences highly exposed to wind such as snowmobiling and dog sledding. So plan for thermal layers for athletic activities and borrow specialized equipment as needed.

At the end of your stay, drop off your clothing at the front desk and our team will pick everything up by prior arrangement.

We pick up clothing at:

• Your accommodation (hotel or private address) (Vieux-Québec, Montreal, or Mont-Tremblant)
• Our Quebec City office at 112 rue Saint-Paul in the Vieux-Port de Québec (self-service return outside business hours)
• Locapaq in Montreal (self-service return anytime)

Our all-in-one package includes everything you need to face the cold:

• Winter coat
• Snow pants
• Gloves or mittens
• Tube scarf
• 2 tuques (beanies): 1 light and 1 warm
• Winter boots
• Ski goggles
• Blivet phone pouch (to keep your phone warm and secure)
• Electric boot dryer

All packed in a carry bag.

Other items included:

• Cleaning fees
• Delivery and in-person fitting at your hotel in Vieux-Québec (Quebec City), Montreal, Mont-Tremblant*, or Charlevoix*, or at our office in Vieux-Québec (112 rue Saint-Paul, G1K 3V9)
• Pickup of your rental after your stay at your hotel in Vieux-Québec (112 rue Saint-Paul, G1K 3V9), Montreal, Mont-Tremblant*, or Charlevoix*, or at our office in Vieux-Québec, or self-service return in Montreal at Locapaq (1360 Bd Rosemont, Montreal, QC H2G 1R9)
